Chocolate Glaze

This shows the perfect glaze that results from this recipe

This is the perfect chocolate glaze for my doughnut recipe 
It’s rich and decadent and pretty and shiny.

Enjoy and happy baking!

1 1/2-2 cups powdered sugar (171-227 g)
1 Tablespoon corn syrup, for shine, optional (20 g)
1 teaspoon vanilla (5 g)
6 Tablespoons cocoa (32 g)
1-3 Tablespoons milk (15-46 g)

Mix everything together except the milk. Slowly add the milk, 1/2 tablespoon at a time until you get the desired consistency. I like to go on the thicker side so the glaze doesn’t run down my donuts after dipping them.

Carefully dip each donut about a third to halfway into the glaze. Lift up and twist the donut around to let the excess glaze drip off. Place donut on a wire rack on top of a cookie sheet to catch any drips Sprinkle with sprinkles or edible luster dust if desired.

Helpful tip: after making the glaze cover with plastic (touching the glaze) so a skin doesn’t form.
